Show 1 J HUNTINGTON On Thursday evening, May 21, there, will be a musical treat an operatic recital under the able management of ftur pianist, Mrs. Teenie Mathie. The proceeds will go to the Relief society Red Cross. During the afternoon the society members will serve ice cream-lunch. cream-lunch. A complimentary dish will be given to each purchaser of a ticket for the opera. And just bear in mind we. are always entertained royally when Mrs. Mathie is at the bellows. jxs. Sunday the county Red Cross committee called a meeting right after the Sunday session and talked up the county Red Cross celebration. A canvassing can-vassing committee was appointed to visit from house to house and gather ; contributions to be raffled and auc- i tioned off, etc. I For Thursday eveningthe 16th, the bishops have borrowed the Nixon pic-! pic-! ture house and purpose to gather : means to pay off an old ward debt. ! A committee has been chosen to sell i tickets at the homes of the people and I we hope to see a good patronage as we ; wish to know our ward is free from debt. ! Orlin Brockbank, one of our soldier boys who is with the balloon corps at ! Fort Omaha, is home on a farm fur-! fur-! lough. He is looking and feeling fine, i Rulon Arnold, son of Mrs. E. A." Howard, is also home from Camp Kearney to visit mother and friends 1 for a few days. We are glad our boys do not forget the attractions of homeland home-land we love to see them come, and bid i them welcome. Mrs. Annie Waymon leaves Thursday Thurs-day for Camp Lewis to visit with her husband who is serving Uncle Sam at i that camp. She is the daughter of j Mrs. Alvna Black of this place.
