Show FALL CRAIN This year we have had excellent results re-sults in Carbon and Emery counties with fall-planted wheat (Turkey Red). We hnye had good success the past two ytars now, and I believe we can grow winter wheat successfully here. Now is the time to commence our work for fall planting. Plow deeply say eight or ten inches, and after preparing pre-paring the soil well plant with a grain-c'r.ll grain-c'r.ll to a depth of 2i or 3 inches. If there isn't sufficient moisture in the soil to germinate the wheat, irrigate before planting. Farmers throughout the two counties desiring to cooperate with me on fall-wheat fall-wheat this year kindly send me word at Price at once. Also, if you will notify me I can furnish you with recommendations recommenda-tions for first class Turkey Red wheat at $3 00 per cwt. at Price, Utah. Very respectfully, ROBERT H. STEWART, Agriculturist Carbon and Emery counties; coun-ties; Agent U. S. Department of Agriculture. |
