never eradicate a trasb fish population At Strawberry for instance commercial and prisoner seining crews have been working for the last 10 years The trash fish are still there in Just about the same numbers The seining has cut down on the size of the trash fish however When you poison out a lake you get rid of everything Then you start out fresh Such a job was done at Navajo Lake recently Seining could never have accomplished it We think the prisoners did a good job and we are' sorry to see the project Game Department however can use only about 250 to 300 tons of trash fish annually for hatchery food If it is led too often it “burns up hatchery fisty We hope the Board of Corrections can find another outlet for the trash fish so the program can start igain end-Th- e Manti-Fishlak- e
