Show SMALL REDUCTION IN TAX LEVIES FOR YEAR The Hoard of County Commissioners nirt Monday Aug. 6, all members being present. The following business was transacted. Hans A. Wick man, forest ranger, appeared before the board regarding the expense of transporting trout fry from l'rice to towns of Castle Dale, Ferron and Emery and appropriation to cover such expense was duly made. Letter was received from state road engineer advlcing the board of the appointment ap-pointment of John H. Tuttle as district engineer for eastern Utah. Communication Com-munication was also received to the effect that the old railroad grade from Black Hawk to Mohrland had been designated as a state road as recently petitioned by the board of county com-l com-l missioners . Carl Wilberg, state road agent, was appointed as rightofway agent to secure se-cure rights of way necessary in Emery county for the Ephraim-Orangeville i the limiticatot foropumunt, ) Rniaf state road. The county is not in position po-sition to furnish funds for purchase of these rightsofway and people of Or-angeville Or-angeville and Castledale are asked to furnish same. Road up Huntington canyon above Leonard farm was ordered repaired to fair condition, cost of work not to exceed $100. The following levies for the year 1918 were set, the total levy being four-tenths or nearly one-half of one ; per cent less than last year.
