Show COLLECT MILLIONS FOR K VICTIMS NEARLY TWENTY-NINE MILLION DOLLARS COLLECTED BY AMERICANS AM-ERICANS FOR EUROPEANS. Largest Single Fund Raised by American Amer-ican Jewish Relief Society, While Red Cross Has Raised Over Three Million Dollars. Washington. America's gifts to the sixty principal war relief societies are estimated at $28,896,277 by the new year-book of the Carnegie Endowment Endow-ment for International Peace, now being be-ing distributed. Seven million dollars of this amount went into the $80,000,000 raised from all sources for the commission for relief re-lief for Belgium. In addition, the Belgian Bel-gian relief fund raised $3,085,000 and other societies added $184,000, making mak-ing a grand total for Belgium of $10,-269,000, $10,-269,000, or over one-third of America's total contributions. Twelve organizations raised more than $2,000,000 for France specifically, while $594,000 was raised for England, $12,000 for Russia and $313,000 for Serbia. This, with the Belgian total, makes a grand total for the entente allies of $13,000,000, not including some $3,000,000 of American Red Cross funds which were largely used in allied al-lied countries. The German Red Cross received $2,750,000 from this country, with three German-American relief bodies, bringing the entire central power contributions con-tributions to $3,750,000. Contributions for dependent nationalities nation-alities affected by the war's ravages total over $9,000,000. By far the largest larg-est single fund of this sort is that of the American Jewish relief committee, commit-tee, $4,000,000 to which should be added add-ed almost $900,000 more from the central cen-tral committee for the relief of Jews and $323,000 from the people's relief committee for the Jewish war sufferers. suf-ferers.
