Show KCC Delays Platforms End Special to The Tribune BINGHAM CANYON The demolition of the Kennecott Copper Mine visitors center and observation platform has been pnctnnne! for about a year, according to Kennecott Copper Corp. spokesman Heber Hart. The platform was scheduled to be demolished to make way for the mine's expansion last year, but the move was delayed. When the mine is expanded, the road leading to the visitors center will also be demolished. Mr. Hart said there no plans to make the center accessible with another road. The Kennecott Copper mine had two other observation platforms that were demolished for mine expansion. Until ltfc8 the mines observers traveled to a now town called Copper-fielnon-existe- d.
