Show CLEVELAND Last Friday and Saturday examinations examina-tions for the eighth grade students of Lawrence and Cleveland was held at the latter named place. There were four from Lawrence and fourteen from Cleveland All were successful in pass- m ing Below are the names of the Cleveland Cleve-land graduates: Edward Atwood, Wil-ford Wil-ford Larsen, Peter Pehrsen, Denver -Oviatt, Levi Mortensen, Sarah Larsen, Pearl Snow, Asteli Olsen, Lillias Lamph. Edna Lamph, Elsie Oviatt, Tilda Thordarson, Ruth Whimpy and Annije Jensen. G. H. Oviatt entertained in honor cjf Miss Dorthy Rebber at Elmo last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. t The officers and teachers of tha SuiJ- . day School gave a party in honor of Thos. Richards and John Eden FridJy evening. These , brethern have filled the positions of choirster and organist respectively for a number of years. ' Principal E. W. Erickson entertained the eighth grade graduates last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. A splendid, time wa3 had. A nice program and games were the evening's entertainment. A delicious luncheon was served by Mrs. Ericksen. J. D. Brinkerhoff has decided that traveling over the rocky road of life, in single blessedness, is not at all what it is cracked up to be, so he has joined the benedicts. He and Adelaide Oviatt, one of our brightest and most popular young ladies, were married in the Salt Lake Temple Wednesday the 3d. We join their host of friends in wishing happiness. Louis P. Oveson met with a serious accident which may result in the loss of his right eye. He had thrown a steer and was adjusting the rope when, in some unaccountable manner, the animal kicked him in the eve. Dr. Hill was called and had to take several stitcher to close up the wound. |
