Show DISTRICT SCHOOL NOTES The teachers of the Castledale public school heartily thank the parents of the children who nade costumes and gave their help toward making our closing programs a success. We also thank the children for their aid for they certainly cer-tainly did their very best, every one of them. After all expenses were paid there were $28 cleared off from the dances and theatre given bv Mr. Wall's depart-mjit. depart-mjit. Principal Wall will expend the money in the near future for filling up some of those empty library shelves. If there is anyone who is in doubt as to this, please call, on us when the new books arrive. An ani3in-j.i jit of same will be made. Mr. Acord's department deserves special mention for the able way in which they handled the little patriotic drama "The Blue and the Grey." A number of the old veterans in the audience almost wept and said they had never seen anything so real since the Civil war. The way Miss Smith's and Mr. Rey-uolds' Rey-uolds' departments dramatized those fairy stories and Mother Goose rhymes prove that Castledale will home day have a home dramatic club to boast of. Little Ruby Shiner certainly made an excellent school ma'am in Miss Brown 's "School Days." |
