Show LAID TO REST IN ! HUNTINGTON CEMETERY John Charles Stevenson, a brother of I Mrs. Esther Grange of this place, just passed to the great beyond. Mr. ! Stevenson was an old time resident of I Utah and an Indian war veteran and i during the time of the war he served ' as staff bugler to Gen. W. B. Pace in 67 and 68. Many of our old veterans will remember their answer to his bugle bug-le calls in Sanpete and Seveir. He was seventy-uiie years old and was born in England and came to Utah in an early day. In 1365 he came to Fair-view, Fair-view, then when the war started he re-' re-' turned to Provo and a' few years later he left Utah and located in Washington where he has made his home since. lie was a tailor by trade and did service for Uncle Sam's soldiers for a number of years until his health failed him. He came to Huntington last April and has made his home with his sister. Mrs. Grange. Urinary troubles have been his ailment. Everything that loving hands could do was done for him. He passed awav about noon, July -27th. Funeral will be held on Friday, July 29, at the meeting house. |
