Show School SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY AUGUST 23, 2000 Distant Learning & Internet Courses at Mohave CC Recognizing the demands of work and family, Mohave Community College offers several courses that can be taken in the convenience of ones own home. More than 25 courses will be offered this fall via videotape and the Internet. Distant learning courses on tape are ideal for those whose work schedules and family demands make it tough for them to attend classes at regular times. The courses are on set timetables, but students can view them in their own home on their own schedule. Distant learning courses offered this fall include Cultural Anthropology, Legal Terminology, Computers for Beginners, English Literature, Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, World Regional Geography, Physical Geology, Medical Terminology, History ofthe United States I, Introduction to the Humanities, Principles of Management, LPN Refresher, LPN Articulation, ""Pharmacology, RN Refresher, Approaches to Human Nutrition in EKG, Health and Disease, Arizona Constitution and Government, Yell! The fall semester begins Monday, August 28, but students can register now at the North Mohave Campus located at 480 South Central in Colorado City or by calling (520)875-279- plan. Six years of elementary, four years of junior high and lower high school, and four years of senior high and junior college mixed. As previously mentioned, Dixie thought the plan was a work of genius. The rest of the world thought the plan made as much sense as false teeth for chickens. When Dixie moved to the new campus, old followed the way of spats and cuspiders. It went down like the Hindenberg, never to rise again. The Kanab Outreach Program can give you classes up to and including an Associate Degree. Dixie College, itself, can now give Bachelor Degrees in Computer Science and Business. Within two to four years, she will be adding Elementary Education Certification (Teaching) to that impressive list. It might be some time before she adds my personal specialty: 1001 Ways to Goof Off.
