Show News SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY APRIL 19, 2000 Kanab's Heritage Highway Festival By Laurali Noteman Kanabs Heritage Highway Products Alliance will be kicking off its first Heritage Festival on May 26 and 27. The Utah Heritage Highway begins in its northernmost region at Fairview and runs south on Highway 89 through the rural communities culminating in Kanab. These small towns are all known for their beautiful scenery and wel- - R come to our town attitudes. The state would like the world to know the real people and tal ents that lie within this 230 mile region. How better to introduce the world at large to the talents and heritage of the state than by enhancing this tourist corridor. Highway 89 is aesthetically ideal for this kind of promotion due to the locations of small communi ties, approximately every 14 miles. Each participating community will offer festivals throughout the year, enticing visitors to remain in their area just a bit longer. Kanabs Heritage Festival will offer local artisans an opportunity to show their Stuff. Artisans, crafters and organizations are invited to participate. The Festival will be held at the Kanab THE WEEK OF APRIL 17TH, WE'RE THE PRIMARY REASON FOR OUR SUCCESS. Middle School from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27. The Bryce Canyon National Park Annual Pass will increase from $20.00 to $30.00, and will allow admission to Bryce Canyon National Park for one year from date of purchase.
