After two runs by Clint McCormick gained eight yards, Zach Tait picked up 14 yards to give the Lynx a First down on the Tempe 37. Two passes fell incomplete before Tait took the ball up the middle for 12 yards and another First. Two runs by McCormick gained 17 yards and the Lynx were in good shape on the Tempe nine yard line. After another McCormick pickup of four yards, QB Tyrel Sanders flipped the ball in the flat to Tait for a Five yard touchdown. On the try, Sanders ran it in on a keeper and Fredonia led two-poi- nt 8-- 0. After a good kick and great coverage, Tempe started from their own six yard line. Brandon Homer and Bruce Bistline combined on a quarterback sack and Tempe was up against its own goal line. A longpass attempt out of the end zone was intercepted by Sanders on the Tempe 44. Brett LeClair came in to quarterback the Lynx and he completed his First pass to Josiah Nash for 29 yards. Two short running plays and a penalty on Fredonia had the Lynx looking at third and 11 from the 16. LeClair hit Jerry Johnson with a touchdown pass.
