Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 13,1889 Community 12 Minutes of the administrative control board of the Western Kane County Special Service District No. 1 Board members present: Viv Adams, Orval Palmer, J.D. Maxwell, Gene Russell, Joe Judd, Loyd Heyborne and Jim Pardee. Others present: Jerrol Leavitt, Randy Cram, Chris Engstrom and Nyle Willis. 1. Minutes of prior meeting Joe Judd read the minutes of August 9, 1999. Loyd Heyborne made a motion, seconded by Viv Adams, to approve the minutes as read. All voted aye. 2. Public hearing on proposed fee increase Viv Adams made a motion seconded by J.D. Maxwell to open the public hearing. No one appeared for hearing. Viv Adams made a motion, seconded by Joe Judd, to close the public hearing. All voted ay e. 3. Television equipment and maintenance report Randy Cram reported that the road up Hog Canyon to the Kanab site is in poor condition. After some discussion, it was decided to not become involved in a road issue. 4. Bruce Gibbs F ormer employee Bruce Gibbs presented a libt of items he had collected for salvage that he claimed had been buried by WKCSSD employees. Bruce was upset that he had not been able to remove the items for salvage purposes. Jerrol Leavitt replied that Bruce had been give sufficient time to remove the items and that he had not removed them in a timely manner. Joe Judd made a motion statingthat if Bruce Gibbs wants to salvage, .he needs to remove the stuff from the landfill and he has un til September 20, 1999 at 4:30 p.m. to remove salvage materials at landfill. Viv Adams seconded the motion and all voted aye. Chris Engstrom will write an agreement to allow removal by that time and date. 5. Solid waste equipment and maintenance report Jerrol Leavitt reported that he needed to have some work done on the D-- 8 cat. He will also get a plastic tank for water storage for the office and restroom at the landfill. 6. Resolution 1999-- 1 amending certain fees charged for services provided by the District Joe Judd made a motion to penalties for late payment and non-payme- nt J.D. Maxwell made a motion, seconded by Jim Pardee, to adopt resolution 1999-- 3 imposing a fee for solid waste collection service in the Cedar Mountain Area.
