The Interagsncy Information Center in St. George is hosting a Project Learning Tree work- tegether, which consists of a master application, interviewing skills certificate and resume, she has also had to teach the employers how to interview future employees. This has been a real challenge, but not too much for her to handle. The first Career Fair was March of 98. This was very successful, and so successful that it was bigger and better in January of 99. This year employers participated not only for interviewing future employees, but business people came into the classrooms and gave information on their occupation and business. This meant coordinating students, teachers, classrooms, signing up the business and making interview times with employers. What a job of coordination!! Only Kay could have pulled this off. In a letter dated 11499 from Frank Gonzales, Principal at Kanab High, he says I would like to commend you again for your great efforts in behalf of cruitment fair at Kanab High School. It was a tremendous effort to plan, organize and implement such an activity. Thanks again for your efforts yesterday and throughout the past year. She has also been working with the resource students in transition from school to work. A transition committee has been formed which consists of par- ents and local interagency coordinators. A transition meeting has been held monthly. This has been very informative. Guest speakers have been invited to share beneficial information with the group. Kays passion is to make sure that students succeed. Going beyond the boundaries of work and school, she is known for her direct involvement and service to the families. Her knowledge of resources and programs, plus an untiring drive at information gathering, referrals and phone calls has literally become the booster rocket to success for the students at Kanab High many area students.
