To qualify for this particular competition, a dogger must have received a first place in freestyle, duet, or team at a past competition, or receive a first place in preliminaries to go on to finals. Five of Merrilyns teams entered the Monroe Panoramaland Spectacular Competition. Each team received a first place in its division, with three over-al- l team honors in beginning, intermediate, and advanced categories. The two duets who competed, each received a first place in intermediate and championship levels with Lyndsey Willis and Joni Martin receiving over-al- l awards in both duet and short duet. They also made the All Southern Utah Team. Along with their teammate, Ashley Dove, these girls plan to try for 1999 Canyon Country Cloggers the prestigious All American 1999 Canyon Country Cloggers who went to competition included back Team at Lagoon.
