Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS News 2 WEDNESDAY MAY 12, 1989 Kanabs Law Enforcement Safety Fair On Saturday, May 22, starting at 12:00 noon, we will be holding a Safety Fair in the IGA parking lot. The Kane County Sheriffs Office; the Kanab City Police Department, and the Utah Highway Patrol will be involved in several different activities promoting safety. Didyouknow that four out of five child safety seats are installed incorrectly? Your parents and grandparents who have younger children should make sure that when you put your kids in car seats and seatbelts that you are doing it correctly. If you have any questions, please come to the Safety Fair and we will be glad to help you out with these problems. We will be drawing for prizes donated by local businesses. The Kanab High School Cheerleaders will be selling baked goods to fund their programs. IGA is sponsoring a KeepSafe Emer- gency Information program where children are fingerprinted and photographed. This information will be logged in a pamphlet. The pamphlet should then be stored in a safe place in your home. Other topics promoted include bicycle safety, the DARE Program, seatbelts and child safety seats, and the K-- 9 program. We will have the seatbelt convincer on hand for children and adults to ride, Vince and Larry may show up, child safety seats will be given to people who The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime , does not mean he is guilty. During the period from April 30 through May 6, the Kanab City Police Department handled 26 cases, 27 incidents, issued 15 and 14 citations. During the same period, the Animal Control Officer had investigations, picked up four, issued one citation, 10 warnings, and releasedadopted two animals.
