Show School SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 9, 1998 Mohave Community College abound at KHS greenhouse Kanab High School FBLA members traveled to Park City for a leadership conference last month. FBLA attends leadership training in Park City Compost will be fertilizing plants everywhere around the KHS greenhouse come spring! Our plea for leaves was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, resulting in many more bags than the 500 we slated as our goal. Many thanks go to the citizens of this great community who called:fcrleaf pickup or brought them to the school. Because of, limited space, we had to turn down some calls. . Thanks to the Kanab City Sanitation Dept, for placing notices for pickup on the hags instead of taking them to the landfill (where we actually did rescue 20 bags!). - The KHS Horticulture class pickup and spent three days raking leaves on the school grounds, and the KHS office staff fielded and forwarded the on that dream. Even though she Arlene and Caroline! , Compost not only needs leaves to crerte a rich organic fertilizer for our home grown projects, but also manure (no cat or dog), grass clippings, food scraps and non-me(fruit, vegetables, eggshells, etc.). This may be leaving us wide open for a barrage of refuse, but if you have any of the above items to contribute, please call the school. Thanks again Kanab. Music and Memories of Christmas: A Christmas Portrait will be presented at North Mohave Campus in Colorado City on December 21, 23 and 24. Monday the 21st is childrens night. Director, Merlene Griffiths, has put together a musical program to delight the worst Scrooge. Called Music and Memories of Christmas: A Christmas Portrait, the program will feature such favorites as Its Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas, Ill be Home for Christmas, Deck the Halls, and Away in the Manager. North Mohaves childrens choir, The Patchwork Kids, will join in with renditions of Seven Feet of Snow and All I want for Christmas.
