Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Community Obituary r Edward Martin Pierce Bom Sept. 19, 1926 Died April 8, 1997 Edward Martin Pierce was bom September 19, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Raymond Charles and Lula Mae Pierce. The family moved to San Diego, California when he was a young boy. He attended high school in San Diego. Edward served in the Army during World War II. 1 After the war he returned to California where he married and raised a family. His wife, Joann died in 1987. In 1990, Edward married Carol Mercer. After Edward retired from EG&G Aerospace, they moved to Kanab, Utah, where they have lived for the last 3 12 years. Edward loved his new home and spent many hours working in the yard which is truly beautiful. He loved hunting, fishing and his two horses. He is survived by his wife Carol, a son Edward Pierce Jr, ofCoeur dAlene, Idaho; daughters Vicky Jo Carey of Post Falls, Idaho and Becky Lou (Alfred) Lassiter of Ramona, California; a brother Raymond Pierce, of Chino Hill, California; a sister Donna Lou Geiger of El Cajon, California; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service was held Friday, April 11 at the United Church of Kanab and Fredonia. Arrangements were made by Mosdell Mortuary. ' " 22 f.
