Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Community WEDNESDAY 197 APRIL 18, DAR.E. bringing circus to town The Cavalcade of Cartoon Circus Stars, live and in person, is coming to town. There will be plenty of excitement in Kanab on Saturday, April 19 with showtimes at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The tent will be set up across from Pizza Hut. Free complimentary childrens tickets are now available from our host and all area merchants now while limited supplies last. This is a full and complete circus in every way, along with a congress of popular favorite cartoon circus stars. The public is invited to the circus grounds on circus day to view the many circus animals free of charge-includin- g zebras, Hamas, camels and many other exotic creatures. One of the feature acts in the main circus performance under the big top tent is Uncle Waldo, the circus clown. You will roar with laughter at his hilarious clown antics. Not only is Uncle Waldo a F.U.N. graduate of the world famous Clown College, but one of the finest puppeteers in the international circus community. Dont miss Uncle Waldo, plus a program featuring the best acts and specialty numbers from America and foreign countries. There will be trained animals, excitingjugglers, tumblers, dancing dogs, amazing aerialist and ycur favorite cartoon circus stars. The American circus is theonly entertainment throughout the ages that has never been censored and is rated G for the entire family-froages 3 to 103. Everyone enjoys the circus. Dont miss Cavalcade of Cartoon Circus Stars. m Local artist featured in Art Show in San Dimas, California j Denise Meyers is committed to creating fine art from gourds in portraying the power and dignity of wildlife images using the context of Native American culture. Her work is contemporary but linked with the past to show the continuity of natures wonder. Meyers works with the circular shape of gourds because they contribute to that continuity. Although her work debuted only four years ago, she is now recognized as a top Southwestern artist. Profiled in the 1996 November issue of Southwest Art magazine, her work is to be featured in three museum shows in 1997. The first show is the 21st Annual National Western Art Exhibition & Sale on April 25, 26 and 27, 1997 in San Dimas Support DAR.E. and take the family to the Circus on Saturday!
