Utahs Southwest Film Commission, a division of the Color Country Tourism office, is currently receiving a number of calls each month from production companies from around the country. The commission hopes to direct even more attention from the film industry to this area. Wade, along with marketing assistant Desiree Butterfield, are taking the steps necessary to help film companies gain access to equipment, local talent, and the right locations. The organization is about to begin the process of creating a production guide, listing the areas available talent and support services for the film industry. This guide will list a number of categories for production companies, including accounting services, animal trainers, catering services, hotel accommodations, film location possibilities, equipment, and supply and prop rentals. Anyone with a business or property who would welcome being listed in the guide should call the Color Country Office for more information. In addition to suppliers, Color Country is actively seeking qualified people to help build a library of photographs and to scout film locations, and to become members of the Commission Board of Directors.
