Spafford, general president of the Mormon Womens Relief Society. They have no reason to stand confused about their roles. Nothing womens that have recently raised a lot of questions in the minds of some women, she pointed out that womens lib is not a new movement. Its an extension of whats been going on since the early part of the 19th Century, where women reached liberation movements out for opportunities, ad- vancement, recognition, influence and power. One thing she objects to in the lib movement is their efforts to restrain voluntary services, which she feels are according to the natures of women. Open to all high school and college students in Utah, the program leaves Salt Lake City on July 3 and returns Aug. 2. Last years opener attracted 16 participants under direction of the U. of U. Division of Continuing Education. The program carries an optional five hours of credit as General Education 391 which also can be geared to high school teachers needing accreditation hours.
