Show Commimiity Theatre program The Clearfield High Community School Theatre presents an outstanding cast of students and townspeople in Thornton Wilders The Matchmaker, March 9 and 10 in the high school auditorium. Featured as Mrs. Dolly Levi, the matchmaker, is Mrs. Barbara Shinpaugh. She is the wife of Capt. Robert Shinpaugh of Hill AFB, who had the lead role in last years musical, The Music Man. Playing the merchant, who Dolly eventually sets her own cap for, is Larry Jensen, of Clinton. It is the wife problems which arise when Dolly tries to find a create the that lively for the merchant, Vandergedler, comedy effect of the play. The strong supporting student cast includes Mike Phillips as the artist, Ambrose Kemper; Lowell Zaugg as both Joe Scanlon, the barber and Joe, the cabman; Teri Kay Valentine, Gertrude, the neices governess and Vandeigedlers housekeeper; Curtis Jacobs as Cornelius Hackl, Vandergedlers chief clerk; Micki Drake as Vandergedlers niece, Other cast members include Larry Jarvis, Bill Moore, Celia Rafalko, Jolene Brown, Randy Dodge, Joe Tirado, Carol Moore, and Vicki Boggs. The entire marching teams of Mrs. Aleen Larsen and Mrs. Pat Rhodes will be featured during the parade sequence. Mrs. Jeanne Jensen, CHS drama teacher, who lead last years outstanding Music Man, is again in the directors chair. Other shows she has directed include The Glass Menagerie, and The King and I. m AtJGEL Technical designer and director is Joseph Hill, with his stage crew and stage crafts class assisting in construction of the setting and other production chores.
