| Show LOCAL CATTLE MEN ORGANIZE on tuesday of 0 this week too the box elder county Catt lemens association met at the county court house hous 0 for or the purpose of passing upon articles of incorporation bylaws by laws and electing officers tor for one year the preliminaries al at upon effecting the organization were disposed ol of at a previous meeting and the meeting on tuesday completed the organization of what promises to be one of the strongest bodies in the county given life tor for the purpose of 0 working to the best interests of the cattle men of this section after naming a chairman in in the person ot of P C petterson ol of garland with john P Ho holmgren lingren of 0 bear river as secretary the meeting proceeded to hear from the committees appointed at the first meeting held last week the committee on articles of incorporation po ration reported first the report being accepted attorney W J lowe read the articles one by one article 6 was amended and article 11 was changed after which the articles were accepted amended article 6 provides that an initiation fee of 5 five per head be paid and an annual assessment not to exceed 3 cents per head may be lev led to meet current expenses article 11 stipulates that the secretary and treasurer each must give a bond in the sum of ado unless the offices be held by one person whereupon is sufficient fi fici ent each of the other officers must give a bond of the bylaws by laws were read and amended and then the election of 0 officers was proceeded eded with T L davis of tremonton Tre monton and promontory was unanimously chosen to head the organization with C W hall of west portage as vice dent and john P Ho holmgren lingren as secretary the directors elected were C G adney of corinne john Y rich of salt lake city david hirscht hirschl ot of park valley and P C petterson of garland this concluded the work of the association so and adjournment was taken after when the directors held a meeting and john P holmgren was chosen treasurer with P 0 petterson as assistant secretary some other matters 0 ol 01 lf business were disposed of and the meeting adjourned the membership of the new organization present at the meting and en rolled in the association are C G adney david hirschl D J sheehan R E davis dwight harding itans hans N knudson C W hall D B house S L miller H C house T L davis P C petterson J Y rich hillside land livestock co T G brown geo E hall J J craner john P holmgren and isaac IV W allen alien |
