Show 8A Sun Advocate, Price, Utah Wednesday, May 1, 1985 Joy Manufacturing net income down Results for Joy Manufacturing Companys second fiscal quarter ended March 29, continued to reflect the loss of interest income and increased interest costs associated with acquisitions made company last year. by the Joy reported net income of $4.8 million ($.26 per share) on sales of $192.1 million. This compares with net income of $6.6 million ($.36 per share) on sales of $144.0 million in the second quarter last year. Bookings for the quarter rose to $204.7 million compared with $172.2 million last year due to the inclusion of acquisitions that were not reflected in last years results. . and KARB to change programming Net income for the first six months of fiscal 1985 was $10.2 million ($.57 per share) on sales of $372.1 million, compared with net income of $12.6 million ($.67 per share) on sales of $272.7 million for the same period in 1984. Backlog at the end of the first half was $343.5 million versus $333.7 million last year.
