After going 3-- in 4 contests, Murray team opened league play Thursday at Granite 15-and ended up with a 15-pre-leag- highs volleyball 8 3, loss. Today (Thursday) Murray will entertain Jordan then travel to Cottonwood SOUTH COTTONWOOD. In Ute Conference action from Saturday afternoon, Cottonwoods Juniors, after leading 13-- at the half, fell to Skyline John Durham scored on the second play of the game for Cottonwood on a pass from Greg Oliphant then added a short run for six. The defensive team was led by Jon Hoovey, Chris Fox and Steve Ritchie. Skyline tied the score in the third quarter then capitalized on three interceptions to pull away. The Cottonwood Bantams lost a heartbreaker to Skyline. Mike Curtis scored on a run and Anthony Escabar added a scoring run with Mike Curtis notching an extra point. Jeff Cunningham played well at quarterback as did receivers Steve Richardson, Nate Lewis and Scott Nord.
