Certainly, such an annexation would be beneficial to the people of Bennion, where Mr. Prigmore lives. But those benefits would ultimately come at the expense of existing Murray residents. I dont blame Mr. Prigmore for pursuing annexation. Nor do I blame him for reaching the conclusion he did. The Murray City sponsored study that he relied upon is sufficiently fuzzy to allow all kinds of conclusions to be drawn. But the facts remain. Murray City already enjoys tremendous advantages. We have a solid tax base, a fine local school system and low power rates through I am surprised at the number of misinformed or even purposely inaccurate letters to the editor concerning Wayne Owens stand on abortion. The Congressman himself addressed the accusation that he was conveniently out of town during a crucial radio in vote on abortion when he hosted August. He said he wasnt able to be in Washington during that first vote, but six months later when the identical bill came up a;gain, he did vote against federal funding for abortions. My understanding is that his views are also in line with those of the Morman Church; that is, abortion should only occur when the womans life is in danger or in case of rape or incest. His position as evidenced in word and vote has always been clearly in opposition to abortion. our municipal utility. In other words, by passing a new Fair Housing strong Amendments Act to strengthen the Civil Rights Act of 1968, President Reagan and Congress have managed to make life more difficult for single .people and senior citizens. Gillen , y ' . g and Your I made this conscious choice in my own life. I have chosen to fight the traffic on Van Winkle Expressway in exchange for not living in a subdivision. The biggest reason is that I have a great fear of the confrontation between children and automobiles. I dont dislike children, I have nothing against families, but Id rather dodge cars than kids. I own the home, so I can do as I please. Until I might decide to move up but keep the property for income purposes. My mother, a senior citizen, prefers to live in a mobile home court that caters to others of her ilk. They too fear kids and cars have an aversion to the noise that naturally comes with family life.
