Senior High Youth To Meet At St. Francis to 1700 W. Child Abuse KEARNS. Cliff Sackett, a senior at Kearns high, is the youngest person to ever qualify for the Western Regional Bass Anglers Sportsman Society tournament scheduled at Lake Powell. During the week of April 27, a team from each of the western states will compete in the regional tournament. The teams will challenge each other on large mouth bass fishing skills. This is the first time this tournament will be held in Utah. At the age of 17, Sackett qualified for Utahs team over men twice his age. Members of the team qualify the previous year to compete in the spring tournament. As a Kearns student, Sackett is also a member of the varsity swim and water polo team. He is a certified black belt in the Wado Ryu style of Karate. Two times a week he teaches Karate at the same school. Sackett is also taking a Red Cross lifeguard class and works part time at the Ponderosa Steak house. As a member of the Deseret Bassbusters club, Sackett participates in conservation projects sponsored by the Division of Wildlife Resources. high. Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund Provide loans to strong local businesses for new business or expansion.
