Duane Willis has been elected to serve as state commander of the American Legion and Marianne Jensen as first vice president of the Legion Auxiliary at the state level. Both are long-tim- e members of Kearns American Legion Post 132. Willis, a veteran of the Korean War, has been a member of the Kearns post the past 15 years, serving as sergeant-at-armservice officer, Americanism chairman for six year, three years on the board of directors and has also been first vice and post commander. She is a member of Kearns American Legion Auxiliary Unit 132, joining through her husband William B. Calder. Mrs. Calder will promote the American Legion children and youth programs, including suicide, abuse, drug teen-ag- e missing children, and the Legion Auxiliary National Presidents project, criminal child abduction and molestation. The auxiliary will also be promoting and asking for donations to the Childrens Heart Fund.
