Historic Peoples of the Salt Lake Valley is tile mural the theme of a 5xl0-foo- t now hanging in the hall of Eisenhower junior high. The mural is the work of about 50 students, under the direction of teacher John Fackrell. KEARNS KAPERS by Trudy Skogerboe Hows life at Kearns? Life in California is great and the madrigals and myself are on our way to San Francisco. We miss all of our friends at KHS, but were having a blast. Hopefully, all of you are enjoying Freedom Week. Today (Thursday) a forum based on freedom of religion will take place in the activity room. Tomorrow an assembly will feature the NROTC drill team from the UofU and the folk dancers from BYU. Tomorrow will also, conclude the Statue of Liberty recycling drive, so be sure to bring your newspapers and alumnium cans. The next big event at KHS will be Bride Week. This activity will take place the week of April 29 - May 3. During this week an MDA love run, a parade, a talent assembly and a community day will be held. This event is designed to promote pride in KHS and the Kearns community, so be sure to show pride and get involved. Petitions are due tomorrow for all those planning to run for student body office or cheerleader. Turn your petitions into Mrs. Burrows or anyoftheSBO. Junior Prom will be held April 26 from 1 at the Seven Oaks Reception Center. This is the last formal dance of the year; so guys, start asking. The baseball season is under way and things look promising for the KHS squad. The team has a game tomorrow at Bingham, and they also have a game Tuesday against Brighton at home. Starting time for both of these games will be 4 oclock. Be sure to catch the soccer game at 3:30 today at West Jordan. The KHS team needs your support. P.S.
