It was like a breath of spring in this dull drab winter. Granger highs Pillow Talk was typical of the nonmusical productions the school has staged in recent years - entertaining, enjoyable and sold out. At least on Monday. Peggy Andersons set gave the audience a preview, of what was to come. Bright yellow and white for interior decorator Jan Morrows apartment and subtle tones of mauve and brown for that of playboy Brad Allen. The contrast was superb and both sets oh so effective. As were the performances. As Jan Morrow, Jodie Fisher was polished and capable as the unmarried, not yet spinsterish, designer who was forced to share a party line with a playboy. She was very convincing, especially in moments of nger. Danny Howes was delightful as Allen, the playboy who spent a portion of the play as a Texas hayseed and the remainder trying to undo what he had done. His facial expression gave great depth to the character and he had a bit of fun with it. Thus did the audience. David Owens was entertaining as the neurotic Jonathan Forbes, his ending scene being especially effective where he finally knew he had lost the girl. ' Stealing the show was Elaine - Guymon as Miss Morrows eavesdropping maid. Her walk, her hairdo, Carol Burnett-styl- e sitting and her facial gyrations earned a great many laughs and sharpened the humor of the show. Director Brenda g Pierot and Bonnie Nosack, Roger Muir, Debbie Lyttle, Linda Nelson, Becca McDowell, Genevieve Felix, Heidi Robinson, Kim Holst, Steve Seeley, Christy Theide, Monic Sutton, Darla Wright, Kevin Dunbar, Becky Williams, Teacy Whiting, Coralyn Shoell, Jon and Olson, Shawn Kummelman Kevin Reese. The show, well put together in terms of technical aspects and the performances, was a good selection for involving many students. There was no effort made to duplicate the movie roles by Doris hand-wringin- Park also brought another 20 characters onto the stage, each completely in control of his or her character and adding to the overall success it enjoyed. Included were Cory Larson as the Day and Rock Hudson. Its s refreshing to see the student create their own characters thes-pian- and these did. Its another in an increasingly long line of plays Granger high can point to with pride. Winner! Green Sheet Cash Claimed MURRAY.
