I hope everyone has been especially good this year so they can get what they asked for. Remember though, that the spirit of Christmas is for giving, not for receiving. Dont get so wrapped up in Santa Claus that you forget what this holidays all about. Congrats to the basketball team in the Green Sheet tournament hosted by Cyprus over the weekend. Although the Pirates lost a close game to Kearns on Friday, they quickly redeemed themselves with a victory over Taylorsville. The team also put out a great effort Tuesday against Springfield. Way to go, guys. The next game will be at 7:30 tomorrow (Friday) at Cyprus. The team will be challenged by Highland high. Best of luck, fellas. Those of you who attended the Green Sheet tourney couldnt have missed the guys on the front rows. You know, the ones with the newspapers, balloons and kazoos Club has again Yes, the Sixth-Mabeen established at Cyprus high. This club is based on the principle that though only five basketball players make a team, the guy on the bench (or the sixth man) is really the most valuable player. He carries the enthusiasm and support necessary for success. Watching club members is almost more fun than watching the game, so come on out and show your pride for CHS. The senior class officers should be commended for an outstanding Christmas Ball. The band was good and the dance was a lot of fun. Thanks, seniors. The team played Cyprus and Granger in the tournament, defeating the Pirates by a score of 0 and tromping the Lancers by a final score of It appears that the team is becoming increasingly aggressive and, as a result, victories are becoming easier to obtain. The team will play again tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30 against Clearfield at KHS. The administration has given the student body a gift by showing a movie on Friday. The movie which was chosen to be shown is The Toy. Weve heard only good reports about the movie, so everyone show their thanks to the administration by attending. Another great activity planned for the holiday period is the Christmas stomp which is also tomorrow. The student body officers have worked hard in planning the stomp Kisses - Merry Christmas! for Christmas. So everyone please try to attend. The cost will be $2 in advance and $3 at the door. Pictures will also be available, so bring your dates and your friends and have a lot of fun.
