Show Thursday, August 2B THE GREEN SHEET Mnflsftnims nm Lawn on y During Week Ripleys Note Golden Year An open house in honor of Clarence and Ruth Ripleys 50th wedding anniversary will be held August 29th, between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. in the Magna Stake Center, 8400 West 3100 South. The couple were born in Malad, Idaho, where they attended elementary and secondary schools. She also taught when they moved to Garfield in 1946, and after they moved to Magna when Garfield was phased out she resumed her teaching career on a full time basis. She taught Webster third graders for a nine year period, and the last eight years of her full time job was teaching remedial reading and being in charge of the library at the school. As for Clarence, he carpentry career blossomed when they came to Utah. She is a graduate of Murray high and attended Utah Technical College. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil R. Birch, West Valley, are parents of the groom.
