Ellingsons spirit, however, was as strong as ever. It carried her through the dark days after the first rush of public concern and sympathy, when she had to retreat into herself and deal with the challenge of getting on with her life. Of the accident, she says, Its a break of life, not of gymnastics. Im A not bitter towards the sport. friend had once asked if she wasnt afraid of getting hurt?
