That same night Region Six will hold a state tournament-seedin- meet g among its four teams that qualify for state. Pending the outcome of games played Friday, that is expected to be played at either West or Murray. The loser of a game between West and Murray will be eliminated from the tournament picture and will host n the play. Jordan will meet the fourth place team (West or Murray) and South will play Judge. The tournament will conclude on Friday, Feb. 24. The 4A format was not set at press y time because of a possible tie for second in Region Three. No area teams from Region Two qualified for state. Olympus was the only sure bet from Region Three going into Wednesdays games, but at least two others from the area will make the field. The upper bracket games Wednesday will feature the second and third place teams from Region Three in action at 4:10 and 8:10. Olympus is set for a contest on Feb. 23 against the fourth place team from Region One, and the fourth place team from Region Three would also play that day. The way the pairings were announced Monday means that Hillcrest and Olympus could meet in the second round of the tournament. They are the two teams many observers felt would meet in the finals, but the Huskies stumbled to a second place finish in Region Two, giving Brighton the championship. Roy has been the highlight of Region One, while Region Fours best team has been East. The tournament continues Feb. 24, 25, 28 and concludes on the 29th. The first rounds of the 3A tournament will be played at several high tion on Feb. 27 at Westminster College.
