Show JFK Promotional Exercises Eyed GRANGER. Only Time Will Tell Is the theme for ninth grade promotional exercises to be held at 7 oclock tonight (Thursday) at Ken- nedy junior high. Prelude music will be performed by Lori Jensen and Cheri Palmer, and prayers offered by Liane Mar-chaand Tim Rush ton. Gian Rosborough, ninth grade president, will give the welcoming address. Student speakers will be Jana Roundy, Jim Erekson and Debbie Lytle. Chuck Kipp, student body president, will give a reading prior to the ninth grade processional. Vocal numbers will include an original composition by student Martin Robinson. He will also sing the theme song, accompanied by a group including Chris Chirsgiglio-pta- , Chuck Kipp, Scott Clary. Principal Dick Haacke will present the ninth graders for acceptance into high school by Dr. William Leiter, assistant superintendent, Granite district. Open Door Baptist Church Hosts Program MAGNA. The Hylanders mens n ensemble of College in Hammond, Ind. will present an evening of gospel singing next week Hyles-Anderso- at the Open Door Baptist church, 8630 W. 2700 South. According to Rev. Bob Anger, the program will be held on June 10, beginning at 7 p.m. The seven young men will be presenting gospel music in a way that will bless the hearts of all who avail themselves of the opportunity of attending. There will be no charge for the concert, but a free will offering will be taken to help the groups as they travel across the country this summer. 260 Copper Hills Students Honored For Jumpathon Effort MAGNA. An assembly Friday at Copper Hills elementary here recognized 260 youngsters who participated in the second annual Utah Heart Assn. Jump-a-thoThe winning team consisted of Tonja Johnson, Stewart Douglas, Amy Cockrell, Ian Douglas, Tobie Calafetti and Bryan Perkins. They turned in $278.90 toward the more than $4,485 collected this year, according to Steve Brown, school coordinator and Penny Morris, PTA president. Individual high collections were recorded by Andy Gonzales, $102.60 and Tonja Johnson, $185.65. Students earned prizes ranging from jump ropes and patches for SB wtSTVMICYVaw . Thursday. Graduates will sing the school song and the benediction will be pronounced by Michelle Moran. A reception will follow in Stonehenge for the graduates and their guests.
