Commencement exercises on June 3 will begin at 7 p.m. in the schools auditorium, under the direction of prinicipal William T. Christopulos and assistant principals Wes H. Johnston and J. Kent Curtis. The Kearns high orchestra will play the Pomp and Circumstance march as prelude music and will also play the postlude. Student speakers will include Jeff Levie, valedictorian, Setting goals r, in order to be successful; Troy Packed with Potential; Best Times, I Remember and I Believe. Dianne Berry will accompany the choir. The class of 83 will sing the school song. Mr. Christopulos will present the graudating class for acceptance by J. Dale Christensen, member of the Granite Board of Education. Diplomas will be presented by Dr. Ronald Beckstrom, the districts director of data processing, and Mr. Christensen. Huf-fake- ACE nmAM . Serves New Presidency 1 6-- 8. iiM s. To Be Named In Magna Stake MAGNA. Conference sessions of Magna LDS stake will be held Saturday and Sunday in the stake center, 3084 So. 8400 West. Tom L. Bird, stake president who has been called to preside over the Tulsa, Okla., mission, and his counselors Milton R. Johnson and Rawlin Spencer,, will be officially released from their callings as members of the stake presidency at this time. They were sustained on Oct. 12, 1975 by Elder Gordon B. Hinkley of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles. And it is anticipated that a general authority of the church will be sent from church headquarters to preside at the conference and officiate in the release. A new presidency will also be sustained. The meeting schedule will begin on Saturday with a priesthood executive session for the stake presidency, high council, stake clerks, executive secretary and ward ' bishops at 3:30 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. there will be priesthood leadership group sessions for Melchizedek priesthood quorum presidencies, group leaders, secretaries, stake auxiliary presidencies and secretaries. That evening there will be an adult session for everyone in the stake over 18 years of age. An chorus composed of home teachers from each ward in the stake will provide music for the Saturday evening session. It will be under the direction of Doris Backman, with Virginia Johnson as accompanist. The group will sing Come Let Us Anew. On Sunday morning at 8:30, there will be a session for young adults from 12 to 26 years of age, as well as their leaders.
