According to RogerBillings, corporation president, 1979 sales exceeded $8.5 Million making the calendar year of 1979 the best in the corporation's seven-year history Billings also noted that the phase of the corporation remaining in Provo,it’s computerfacilities. is still larger than the hydrogenportion recently moved to Independence, Missouri. The prit contributer to sales indicated, was the Billings iter Corporation, which is headquartered in Provo. Billings has been a manufacturer of high-technology computer systems for the past three years, marketing their products through a worldwide distribution network of over 60 dealers. Computer systemsare used in business accounting, word processing, and scientific data processing applications. During 1979 the corporation expanded from its originalfacility on Billings Avenue in south Provo to a manufacturing plant located along-side the Timpanogos Golf Course in Provo. With the expansion into the new facility, Billings presently employs 150 personsin the Provo area out of the 300 employees, worldwide. of the corporation Officers of the Corporation estimate that 100 new positions wiil be created at the Provo, Utah. facility during 1980.
