A coach it alayt concern cd with that factor called over confidence and no matter w hat Coach Ward Sattley lellt hit troops thit neck at practice if the Dans don't come to play football then the Bears will make things rough for them. THE COACHING staff at Davis is too good to let this happen to their club but it still comes dkmn to the attitude of the players on game night. There is no team in the league that will lay down and die and Bear River is one of them. In most cases the fuses of the Bears have been self inflicted. Take last week as an example in their setback to Logan. 0 In that contest the Bears tumble the ball away three times, was intercepted two times and had two roughing the kick penalties to hurt their cause. THEIR OFFENSE moved the ball well against Logan but then seemed to be snake-bitte- n when they got close to the goal either with an interception ora fumble. Their defense was tough, although the score wouldnt show it, as they came up with a couple of goal line stands but they were simply on the field too long. Darwin Bee, Scott Sessions, Travis Cornwall, Rick Broadus and Jeff Moore all played well last week on de- fense. JUNIOR ROD Zundel is a good quarterback and Hunter Green is a fine running back but both have been inconsistent this year. Both are very capable of moving the ball which is a major concern for the Dart coaches. Meanwhile the Darts and their famed double wing just keep rolling along with Ben Lomond being their latest victim. The Scots put up a great still came fight but the Darts out on top of a 6 contest. funning gjmg if Dfti the itc the fifttbwll. Davit should simply not pay any attention to their opponent's record and should get after the Bears. If they don't look past the Bears and lake them seriously Ihcn Davit should win. If they think all they have to do it show up then they could be in trouble. icore. Troy Meacham and Keith McNally also scored on i couple of short runs. Neither defense seemd to ind the answer to the others iffense as both clubs simply vent up and down the field at vill.
