Smith Open House The 40th wedding anniversary of Edward E. and Jean Stephens Harris will be observed June 28 at their home, 2592 W. 4950 S., Roy, Ut. Their nieces and nephews and their families will honor them with an open house between the hours of 9 p.m. 7-- MR. AND MRS. Harris were married June 28, 1941 in Kimball, Neb. The marriage was later solomnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have two children: Jeannine Nagy of Davison, Mich, and Dr. Thomas E. Harris, PhD, Evansville, Ind. and five grandchildren. Mrs. Harris mother, Mrs. Otto (Beat- rice) Stephens resides in Afton, Wyo. MR. HARRIS retired after 22 years in the Army Attache ex- changed marriage vows Friday, May 29, at the Little Chapel of The Flowers, Las Vegas, Nevada. The rites were performed by Dr. Albert. and was manager of First Security Bank in Roy. He was president of a ward Sunday School, a teacher, ward finance clerk, boy scout leader and is now a High Priest in the Roy 7th Ward. Mrs. Harris has served as president of both ward and stake Primary, president of a ward Relief Society , served in the Roy Stake Relief Society presidency and has been a teacher. She presently serves on the Roy Stake Relief Society Board. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. MR. HARRIS was born in Terre Haute, Ind. and Mrs. Harris in Henefer, Ut. The couple request that gifts be omitted. Many of the nieces and nephews in charge of the open house reside in Davis County. THE NEW bride is the daughter of Mrs. Tomean F. Simonson, 1486 Stanford St., Layton, and Leonard Simonson, Sandy, Utah. Following their marriage, a wedding brunch was held at the Union Plaza, Las Vegas. AFTER A week, the newly weds returned home and were honored with a garden reception at the home of the bride's mother in Layton. For her marriage and the reception the bride chose a Candlelight afternoon gown of polyester crepe, with a Vene-cia- n lace trim. SHE WORE a corsage yellow and peach roses. The couple will make their home at 301 North Main St., No. 48, Layton. PRIOR TO her marriage, the bride was entertained by Nancy Chatlin. with a miscellaneous shower at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Chatlin. East Layton. Mrs. Tammy Griffis and her mother, Mrs. Robert E. Wi- lliams, entertained with another bridal shower at the Willaims home in Layton. Mrs. Smith was graduated from Layton High School, and is currently employed at Reis-bec- Farmers Insurance Shelley Anne Green became the bride of John Scot Sill June 6, 1981 in rites performed in the White House Reception Center in Ogden. Bishop Eldon Sill officiated at the' ceremony. SHELLEY is the daughter of Lynda Loveless and Steven H. Green, 2787 North Highway 89, Layton. John is the son of Golden and Genevieve Sill, 1743 N. Fort Lane, Layton. A wedding breakfast was held at the Mansion House in Ogden by the grooms parents and the reception later that night at the White House. THE BRIDE was dressed in a white chiffon dress with chantilly lace. It featured a sweetheart neckline and a train attached at the waist. She carried a bouquet of light blue roses and daisies. Allison Sacket was maid of honor with Linda Adams, Gayle Killpack, Mindy Green SEMI-ANNUA- and Marty Loveless as the THE ATTENDANTS were dressed in light blue and light yellow gowns with small bouquets. They held yellow roses and daisies. The mothers were dressed in pink gowns with pink flowers. BEST MAN was Mark Sill. Ushers were Kim, David and Golden Sill, Jr., Steve Green, Roger Madsen and Rob Barlow. Prenuptial parties were given by Reta McGonagle and Doneta Gatherum plus the grooms mother, sisters and girlfiends. BOTH GRADUATED from Layton High School.
