Layton Rotary club with support from city banks and merchants, including the Davis News Journal. Runners came from all ages with categories set up by age and sex The three top winners were- - Joseph Hawkins of Kaysville, who turned in the best time at 33 minutes, 29 seconds, second went to Kevin Hutchins, also of Kaysville, for 33 31 while Dave Giles of Salt Lake City came in third at 34 09 IN THE male competition here are the winners. and under, Matt Denning, 39 03, Joseph Hawkins, 33 29, Don Denning, 39 03, 40 and up, Sheridan Murphy, 43 08, father and son, Dave 1 1 25-3- and Joe Giles; father and daughter, Dave and Angie Giles In the female categories these winning results were turned in-and under, Angie t, Giles, 69 08; Tern 68 57, Loy Ann Wood, 37.18, Mary Rumger, 40 21 1 12-1- Bur-det- 17-2- 25-3- THE YOLNGEST competitor was Jarom Giles, age 6, who compiled a 45.48 time while Sheridan Murphy, at age 42, was the senior in age. After the races, it was time for the entire family to get involved with sack races, a fns-be- e throw and other games. And what would a summer celebration be without a picnic and hot dogs, soda pop and watermelon. IN ADDITION, all runners were able to leave as winners, thanks to the generosity of Layton area businessmen.
