The Display Gardens are beautifully landscaped and this year a new labeling system has been devised, which allows for easy identification of plant and flower matenals. THE DISPLAY gardens began in 1902 as a place where Utah State Agricultural researchers could evaluate trees and shrubs. It wasnt until 1954' that the grounds became a colorful bed of flower breeding experiments. The grounds change gradually from year to year as some plant materials are deemed unsuitable for Utah climate while others are urged to maturity. THE RESEARCH farm is an extensional source of research for the public and county residents should be more aware of its existence and take advan intage of the free, formation it has to offer. Those who cant attend the open house Labor Day should make plans for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the near future. The grounds are open year around, daily from daylight to dark.
