Saturday as Day Academy-AFROT- C in the state. THE OCCASION will be celebrated at Hill AFB with a Gets 30 Year Certificate Wayne K. Owen, of Directorate of Maintenance at Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, recently completed 30 years of service with the federal government. Mr. Owen received a certificate honoring his years of ser- program in the base theater, headlined by Lieutenant Colonel Dick Brown, director, Admissions Liaison Office, U.S. Air Force Academy. Air Force Academy cadets from Utah will assist with the program. Colonel Norman E. Olsen, Air Force Academy and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Liaison Officer at Hill, has invited high school and junior high school students, parents and educators throughout the state to attend the program beginning at 9 a.m. FOLLOWING Colonel Browns remarks, a panel discussion will be held by Utah Academy and ROTC cadets. The panel will respond to questions from educators, students or parents about the cadet programs. Highlight of the day will be a visit to the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing and a display of an 6 aircraft. The program is by the Air Force Association. FOR FURTHER information call Colonel Norman E. Completes Aviator Come First Lt. James C. Williamson, son of Sidney P. Williamson and Barbara H. Williamson of Anaheim, Calif, has completed an officer rotary wing aviator course and received the Silver Wings of an Army aviator at the U. S. Army Aviation School, Fort Rucker, Ala. Two Davis Residents Retire A-- DOMINICK Guida and Seymour Fonnesbeck were honored by their fellow workers at a joint luncheon to celebrate the event. Government service for both men. began when they were called to active duty in Xl 1941. Mr. Guida served first in the U.S. Army Field Artillery and later in the Army Air mm Financing Corps Military Intelligence throughout World War II. During the Korean Conflict he was recalled by the Air Force into the contracting field. MR. FONNESBECK served in the Southwest Pacific areas as an Army bombardier. The two first crossed paths in 1954, when they became neighbors in Clearfield, and in 1967 they both joined the civilian work force at Hill AFB. By 1970 they were working in the same directorate, Mr. Guida as a procurement procedures. Williamsons wife, Janet, is the daughter of Ariel C. and JoAnn P. Knowles of 240 N. 600 E., Kaysville. Pearl, are now residents of Sunset. Mr. Fonnesbeck resides in Layton with his wife, l QUALITY GLASS nn uwu Two Davis County residents who are employees in the Ogden Air Logistics Center Directorate of Contracting and Manufacturing recently retired, ending a combined total of 80 years of federal service. STUDENTS received instruction in helicopter flying techniques, including tactical instrument flying maintenance, navigation and radio Included in their studies were seamanship, close order drill, Naval hi tory and first aid. Personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in physical education and hygiene.
