Hie selection committee from the Rotary Bowl made the matchup official last Tuesday at a noon press conference, electing to go with a rematch of the 46-4- 5 overtime thriller in Ephraim less than two weeks ago. The Bowl Committee believes it has one of the featuring two rivals closely matched to be played in front of an expected large crowd. The ninth-ranke- d Badgers were entertaining offers from several bowls across the country, but felt as if the Rotary Bowl presented the best package, one that would allow their fans a chance to travel to the event, plus an opportunity to redeem themselves from the disappointing Homecoming loss. Lady Badgers down Ricks, then lose in semi-finals By Ken Bcazcr Snow Colleges volleyball team pulled the upset of the Region 18 Volleyball Tournament, knocking off nationally-ranke- d, Ricks College, before losing in the semi-finato the College of Southern Idaho, 15-- 7 and 15-The first round victory over Ricks College was the first time a Lady Badger volleyball squad has advanced beyond the Regional first round in five years. The three-gam- e sweep of the Lady Vikings w as a direct result of a total team effort, an effort overpowered Ricks from the first serve. It appeared as if a different Lady Badger would come up w ith a key play whenever Ricks attempted to regroup and make a comeback. The emotional first game would have deflated most teams; how ever, Snow came out and continued to play w ith the heart of a Breakfast Tour The Sanpete County's Bed & Breakfast Christmas Tour on December 5 runs from 10 am. to 5 p.m. The tour runs throughout the county, starting at Mt. Pleasant in the north and Gunnison in the south. All three inns in Mt. Pleasant arc participating. They include: The Main Street Inn and The Larsen House Bed & Breakfast. Both of these inns were built in the 1800s and they include many beautiful features including hand painted ceilings. Fiddlers Green Inn is a newer inn but the owners have filled it with beautiful antiques. The Ephraim Homestead and The Phcrson I louse are on the tour in Ephraim.
