Show Emery County Chamber of Commerce February 2002 Challenges Ahead Emery County Chamber of Commerce prepares for a year of challenges and opportunities With a newly elected board and a new chairman, the Emery County Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to facing new challenges and opportunities in the coming year. And according to Mike Nelson, new Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, there are plenty of challenges and opportunities facing local businesses this year. Perhaps the most significant will be the outcome of the proposal to make the San Rafael Swell a National Monument. Local businesses finding a way to tap into the opportunities that will arise from na- tional attention being given to Emery County is a unique opportunity and one that could result with great success or devastating failure, depending on how businesses rise to meet the challenge.
