Flint, 30, of 25 Phillips St., Layton, died July 9, 1981 at his home. He was born Sept. 1, 1950 m Ogden the son of Rex W. and Erma Thompson Flint. He mamed Theresa W hite m Elko, Nev. on Jan 7, 1979. Moss Stuart, 61, 5, 1981 in the Hospital in Ogden following a HEW ASagraduateofDavis High School and had attended W SC for three years. He was a member of the Layton 18th LDS Ward. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was wounded twice in Vietnam. He received two purple hearts. He was a warehouseman at the Defense Depot in Ogden. He is surv iv ed bv his w ife of heart attack. He was born March 18, 1921 in Layton, the son of George S. and Leda Moss Stuart. He maimed Jean Bar-loJune 21, 1946 in West Point. Their marriage w as later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Dec. 21, 1951. Layton; daughters, Angie and Brook Flint, both of Layton; father of Kaysville; brother, Mike B. Flint, Clearfield; stepbrother, Tom John of Idaho; sister, Mrs. Sandra Duncan, Kaysville; stepsister, Mrs. Lisa Stevenson, Layton. FI NER AL SER ICES were held July 14 in the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Dennis Brown of the Layton 18th Ward officiating. Interment in the Kaysville Cemetery with military honors accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard under the direction of Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary. MR. STUART was a supply procurement officer at Hill AFB where he received numerous awards for outstanding service. He retired from the base after 32 years there. He made his home in Layton until he w as eight years old and his family mos ed to West Point where he spent the remainder of his life. He graduated from Davis High School and com- pleted a Accident Claims A. V. correspondents course from LaSalle University in accounting. An active member of the West Point Second Ward he held various positions within the ward and was a member of the senior citizens committee in the ward. He served in the North Davis Stake MIA for 16 years. SlRWYING are his widow of West Point; sons and daughters, Norman L. Stuart and Michelle Stuart, both of West Point; Vaughn B. Stuart. Orem; Mrs. Blair ( Sandra) Green, Kanesville; Mrs. John (Deborah) Craner, Pocatello, Ida.; 19 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Dee (Virginia) McFarland, West Weber, and Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Faulk, Layton. Funeral services were held in the West Point Stake Center July 9 wifh Bishop KennethW. Flint otiiuating; family prayer was given by N. Leslie Stuart; prelude music by Mary Ellen One Another;" and Vaughn B Stuart spoke. Another musical number "0 My Father" was given by Mr Stuart's grandchildren acc. by Susan Chapman; benediction by Blair M Green; postlude by Susan Chapman. Pallbearers were Dr. Lee Malan, Wayne Owens, Howard Hammon, Deon McFar- land, Gary Faulk, Ronald Stuart, Darrell Gardner and Marlin Huff Honorary pallbearers were Rulon Thornley, Phil Moss, Dr. Robert F. Bn-ne- Faunt Montgomery, Vaughn Eastman and Dale Thurgood. Care of the flowers by the West Point Second Ward Relief Society. Dedication of the grave by John W. Craner. Interment in the Syracuse Cemetery. Where Is Heaven was given by Mr. Stuart's grandchildren, acc. by Michele Stuart; invocation by Glen Stuart, remarks were made by Bishop Flint and first speaker was Dee McFarland. Bitton sang "Love Vullmers Anderson. 37, of 2604 E. 3450 N., Layton, died July 7, 1981 as a result of an automobile accident. Mrs. Anderson was driving the family van near Cedar City when a tire blew and caused the v an to roll ov er. The Anderson family was returning from a vacation in California. Her husband and two sons are still recovering from injuries they sustained in the accident MRS. ANDERSON was born May 20, 1944 in Schmal-lenberGermany, a daughter of Hermann and Anm Hofmann Vullmers. She married Douglas Richards Anderson Jan. 10, 1963 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a graduate of Bountiful High School and an active member of the LDS Church having served as a teacher and leader in many ward and stake Rites Held For Ila M. Major George; musical selection ' Annemarie NORMAN STUART Anderson Mrs. Ila May Manning Major, 70. of 958 East Gentile, Layton, died July 9, 1981 inthe Davis North Medical Center in Layton. She was born April 17, 1911 in Farmington, a daughter of Charles Edward and Nellie Butcher Manning. She married William Major in Morgan. Ut. on March 18. 1939. He died July II. 1969. A LIFE long resident of the Kaysville-Laytoarea, she was a graduate of Davis High School, worked at the Woods Cross Cannery, and was a member of the Layton 21st Ward. She had been a visiting teacher for many years and was a member of the senior citizens of Layton. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. William (Deanne) Salter of Layton and five grandchildren, brothers, Alan Manning. n house less it years old? FUNERAL SERVICES were held July 13 in the Layton 21st Ward Chapel with Bishop Paul G. Sharp officiating. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist Kaysville positions. She was an out- standing homemaker and an expert seamstress. SURVIVING are her husband; sons and daughters, Kristina, Wendy, Christopher and Todd Jeremy Anderson, all of Layton; her parents of Schmallenberg, Germany; brother, Hermann Vullmers, Jr and a sister, Mrs. Rita Boss, both of Schmallenberg, Germany. Funeral services were held July II, 1981 in the Layton 28th Ward Chapel with Bishop S Clair Bankhead officiating. Family Prayer was given by , Bruce Anderson; prelude music and postlude music by Mary Jean Bankhead; invocation .Andrew Johnston ; speak- er, John Gray; vocal solo "Somewhere My Love by Hams Adams, acc. by Mary Jean Bankhead. SPEAKERS WERE Renate Johnston, Lola McFerson and remarks were given by Bishop Bankhead. A recording done by Douglas and Georgina Anderson Beyond the Sunset was given. Benediction by Walter Rosemann. Casket bearers were Rodney K. Anderson, Bruce R. Anderson, Donald Enders, Hans P. Rosemann, Harold Rosemann, and Thomas Rosemann. Dedication of the grave by Douglas L. Anderson. Interment in the Kaysville Cemetery. accompanied her daughter Mrs. Jodi Lowry and son, Justin, to Brian, Tex. where they will make their home. Jodi's husband Jim was already there to meet them. Mrs. Louise Benson and children of Boise, Ida. are houseguests of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Brimhall Miss Kirsten Meyer left Monday to return to her home in Germany after spending the past year with Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Marx and their familv Kirsten was on the PIE Exchange program and attended Davis High School. Mr. and Mrs. Sam McAllis- Mrs. Helen Barnes of Kaysville and her two sisters, Mrs. Lou Bernsten, Ogden, and Mrs. Fred Sprecker, Clearfield and their brother, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Ahrens, Ogden, were guests in Burley, Ida. of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bames and Mr. and Mrs. John Bames for a few days at the Bames Ranch. Mrs. Robert Thueson and two children of Jerome, Ida. are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Laser. A family dinner was held in their honor with other guests Mr. and Mrs. John Laser and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Laser and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Butts of Stanton, Calif, visited a week with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs Grant Bond. They visited with other relatives in Heber City, American Fork, Orem and Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Gale F. Caldwell, sons. Brad and Clark, Joy and John Fundloff and Kath Cotterell, left for Los Angeles, Calif, where they w ill be on the Family Feud Program on TV. The Caldwell family was one of 15 selected from 500 families in Salt Lake City to participate on the program. They were not sure when the show will be televised. They will return home July 11 after sightseeing in the San Diego area. Bishop and Mrs. Richard Brough returned from a ten day vacation trip to Alaska. The trip was a 25th wedding ter and family spent the weekend in Antimony, Ut. Funeral services for SHE MARRIED Glendon Thurber July 16, 1941 and the mamage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her husband proceeded her m friends with her brother, Mr. and Mrs Services Held For DAnn Singleton DAnn Singleton, the infant daughter of Raun Val and Janet Nalder Singleton of Layton, died July 8, 1981 inthe McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden. PRIVATE GRAVESIDE services were held July 13 in the Kaysville City Cemetery with Bishop Larry Burdett of the Layton 22nd LDS Ward officiating. The service was under the direction of Mortuary. Maurine Thurber Services Are Held Maurine Hennefer Thurber, 60, of Salt Lake City were held July 11, 1981 in the Cottonwood Sixth Ward Chapel. Mrs. Thurber, a former resident of Layton, died July 8, 1981 in a Salt Lake City hospital She was born Jan. 3, 1921 in Layton, a daughter of Irvin and Annie Fisher Hennefer. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Holcomb of Colorado spent a week in Kaysville visiting former friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Muir of Bountiful spent time in Germany on a combined business and pleasure trip. While there thev had the onnortunitv of visiting with their son Elder Lynn Muir who is serving an LDS mission in Italy.
