This honor boosted Virginia to fourth place standing among the clubs prize winners. She has been a member of the Ogden Color Camera Club since the early VIRGINIA ATTENDS pho- tography seminars, belongs to clubs and reads photographic literature in. order to improve the quality of her pictures. She is the area representative for the Pho- tographic Society of America. One of the things Virginia likes most about her hobby is the chance it gives her to share with others. She prepares slide shows and travelogues for people in rest homes and her friends. For the past year, she has been taking pictures for the Layton City Improvement Association. MRS. LARSENS favorite subjects are nature scenes and people, dmg 1970s. VIRGINIA ALSO belongs to study and group. Eight members from all parts of the United States circulate pictures for judging and comments. The last time she enevent she tered a round-robiwon three ribbons and four entries. Her most interesting photographic entry in this competition was entitled a round-robijudging n n - a study of Minute Word someone working. This picture received a second place ribbon. Another round-robi- n group Virginia belongs to circulated taped narrations with a slide show. This travels throughout the United States. MRS. LARSEN became in photography through her husband. When interested he died, she found photography could be a very rewarding hobby. She says a picture is an artistic way of expressing your feelings. She is like an author, composing a work that depicts her beliefs, her likes, dislikes and personality. Her photographic equipment consists of two Nikon 35mm bodies, five lens and one movie camera.
