Show Mt. Pleasant agrees to plan presented by IHC . i' MT. PLEASAN- T- A Salt Lake hospital plan that consolidates Sanpete Valley Hospitals $2.54 million construction bond with the indebtedness of other IHC hospitals statewide, was approved following a public hearing at the June 11 city council meeting. The plan is to issue Hospital Revenue Refunding Bonds, not to exceed $68 million, and each city represented, bound by an interlocal agreement, including Ml Pleasant, had to approve the measure as an aggregate body. The proposed package is expected to save Intermountain Health Care (IHC) $785,000 on its debt service. Lee Davis, representing Smith Capital Marketing, explained that Sanpete Valley Hospitals original bond, issued in 1983 (9.2 percent interest) had already been part of a $15.28 million bond refunding package in January 1988 (7.9 percent interest) that included bonds from Sevier Hospital and Dixie Medical Center. The proposed Hospital Revenue Refunding Bonds, to be issued at 6.8 percent interest, and approved at the June 11 meeting, will include hospitals in Salt Lake City and American Fork; Millard, Sevier and Washington counties, as well as Sanpete Valley Hospital. Resolutions to approved issu-- . ing the bonds and to authorize an InterlocalCooperationAgreement with the other public agencies were unanimously approved. In other matters, the county approved a sign request from Don Davidson, at 600 South State Street, heard from Chamber president Jon Schuhmann Horseshoe Festival plans, tabled a resolution that would have set employee wages, and approved compensation for elected and statutory officers.
