They will be honored at a family dinner that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Oak Crest Inn, in Spanish Fork. The couple were married June 30, 1941. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, Feb. 21, 1955. Reed was born in Mt. Pleasant and the couple has lived here since 1951. He has been a farmer and stockman. He was employed by Hill Air Force Base and Dugway Proving Grounds. He was a machinist at Geneva Steel for 25 years retiring in 1980. He has held various church calling in the Sunday School and Elders Quorum. LaVoen was bom in Ephraim. An active member of the LDS Church, she has served as Relief Society president and counselor, MIA president. Primary teacher, visiting teacher, and Stake Sunday School secretary. They have been ordinance workers in the Manti Temple for five years.
