Pleasant LDS Stake Recreational n Workshop for Women, Plain coHelping Women, sponsored by the Stake and Central Utah Mental Health-Alcohand Drug Center, at 10 a m., Saturday, April 26, in the LDS Stake Center. Dr. Joan Burnside, coordinator of career development for Hurcules, Inc. will speak on Self Esteem ; John MT. Talk-Wome- Heather Ann Holden celebrated her first birthday on April 5. She is the daughter of Loralee and Kelly Holden, Mt. Pleasant. Grandparents are Bobbie Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Holden, all Fairview; Tom W. Tucker, West Jordan. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Winn Tucker, Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Newel Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bennion and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rick, all Salt Lake Reeves, FREE PREGNANCY TEST Sat. Burnside, a Fairview native, has had extensive work with helping build leadership and self esteem. As executive director of the Utah Mental Health Association, she initiated a human relations program titled, Im Thumbody, for to second, third teaching and fourth grade students. Her volunteer work includes president of State PTA; regional vice president and national vice City. She has also served two terms on the State Board of Education, was chairman of the State Curriculum Council, and has been a leader in numerous other business, professional and civic organizations. A graduate of Behavioral Science from Westminster College, she received her masters of Education in Community Education from Brigham Young University and her Doctorate in Education Ad- ministration and Organizational Behavior from BYU. She and her husband, Ernest, and the parents of four married children. Brice John Reeves of Ephraim is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is also a mental health consultant to the Mt. Pleasant Head Start Program. He is licensed as a CSW. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Services from the Church College of Hawaii, after which he received his Master of Social Work and a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. Prior to receiving his degree, he served four years in the U.S. Army Security Agency, 19 months of which was spent in the Republic of South Viet Nam. He graduated from the Church College of Hawaii, and worked for the Church Educational System in the Kingdom of Tonga. He was a history and geography teacher, and vice principal and counselor. He spent over three years as a social worker with the Department of Human Resources in New Mexico. Reeves is married to the former Mele Leaaetoa and they have six children. Dr. Bruce Harless is well known as a local physician and is currently employed as the clinical director of the mental health office. He is married to the former Marlane Seelly and they are the parents of four daughters. CHESTER The children of Elmo and Nida Reynolds will honor their parents with an open house on the occasion of the couples 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 26. The event will be held in the Moroni Senior Citizens Center from 2 until 4 p.m. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited. The family requests no gifts. The couple were married on Feb. 5, 1936. Mr. Reynolds was bom in Moroni, a son of Isaac and Sylvia Reynolds, grew up on a farm south of town. He has been in the turkey producing business for many years and has also driven a school bus. He was bishop of the Chester LDS Ward for five years. Mrs. Reynolds was bom in Daniel a daughter of Arthur and Elizebeth Swain. She is accomplished in homemaking arts and is active in the LDS Church where she devotes much time to geneology work. The couple have lived in Chester all of their married life. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Feb. 15, 1964. The couple have five children including Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Burnside, Sandy; Boyd, of Murray; Mrs. Gene Charles (Karen) Robinson, Kanab; Mrs. (Laraine) Jacobson and Annette, both of Texas. The Reynolds have 20 grandchildren and four Elmo and Nida Reynolds Ladies auxilary plans event to raise funds MT. PLEASAN- T- The Sanpete Valley Hospital Ladies Auxilary is g event to help planning a with extended care patient needs. The auxilary is planning a photo fund-raisin- r session for May 3 as part of volunteer month at the hospital. PLEASANT and artists are planning several Central Utah Craft Fairs this year and encourage all who have home crafted items or artwork to make a note of the sceduled shows. Three craft fairs will be held in July at the Mt. Pleasant City Park, July 4, 11, and 18. A fair is scheduled for Nov. 15 at the old armory and several more are planned. The craft fairs are designed to in Sanpete benefit communities County as well as provide secondary incomes for people who have craft items or artwork to sell, one of the group's organizers, Kris Mills, said. The fairs are being held during holidays and festivals to take advantage of tourists in the area and to attract them to Sanpete communities. Eventually, if crafters and artists express an interest in a more permanent method of displaying their handiwork, a permanent gift shop may be established where items may be displayed year around on consignment.
