Show 26. 1983 May - The Pyramid - Page Five NS school board names construction manager of Salt MT. PLEASANT-Tekc- om Lake City was low bidder for construction management on the new North Sanpete High School with project manager, Garth Anderson of Moroni. Tekcoms bid was for $437,300. The North Sanpete School Board officially awarded the bid at the May 19 school board meeting in Mt. Pleasant. Plans for construction of the new are similar to that for the Middle School in that a construction manager is hired for the high school overall project and bids let for various parts of the structure. The firm of Silver Naylor of Salt Lake City, is the architect. Site preparation for the new school started last year and construction will begin immediately, the board was told. Tentative construction time is years. Barbara Ann Smith of the State Board of Education visited the board meeting and discussed several items 2 including vocational education Bynum; and front, Deanne Woolf, Julie Jorgensen, and Tammy Bigler. Seven hopefuls vie for honors in Mt. Pleasant queen pageant MT. PLEASANT The third Miss Mt. annual Pleasant Scholarship Pageant, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thurs. June 2, at North Sanpete High School. This years theme is America, according to Chairman Dixie Lewis. Contestants include Deanne Woolf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alena Krouth, Woolf; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Krouth; Julie Jorgensen, daughter of Ellen and the late Keith Lisa Jorgensen; Jorgensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Marlene Jenkins, Jorgensen; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jenkins; Alana Bynum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bynum; and Tammy Bigler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bigler. The girls will be judged in interview, swimsuit, evening gown, and talent, and have been preparing for the pageant since March. A total of 150 man hours were expended for this project. A dugout consisting of bench facilities will be installed in the near future. Spanish Fork Junior Livestock Show. She came at the invitation of the local board and was accompanied by Dr. Lerue Winget, associate Superintendent of Schools for Utah. Mrs. Smith encouraged the board and others to contact her if there are any problems. Sanpete is in the area represented by Mrs. Smith on the State Board. The queen will preside over the Fourth of July Parade and Hub City Rodeo. Church holds Bible School An Ecumenical Vacation School, sponsored by the Bible First Presbyterian and Roman Catholic Church of this area, will meet daily from June 20th through July 1, in the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant. Classes will be for children 4 years old through 6th grade. The theme this year is "Jesus Lord of Promises - He promises love, Happiness, Life, Strength, and Peace. In addition to Bible Classes, there will be games, crafts, recreation, music, and snack time. A small fee will be charged to help cover the cost of materials.
